KL's RAW ALMOND SNACK

Raw Almonds are my favorite snack food---and I've made some FAST & EASY healthy all-natural recipes along my journey to perfect health that smashes my desire for something "sweet" and/or something "salty" with a little spice kick every single time... that is GOOD and GOOD FOR THE BODY all at the same time!

PREP TIME: 3 MIN
COOK TIME: 0 MIN

INGREDIENTS:

RAW ALMONDS
CAYENNE PEPPER
100% SEA SALT
GROUND CINNAMON
RAW SESAME SEEDS (OPTIONAL)
ORGANIC RAW BLUE AGAVE NECTAR

PREP:

In a bowl, pour the desired amount of raw almonds into it and add small amounts of agave nectar while stirring until the almonds are evenly covered.

Add a dash of the cayenne pepper on top---a little bit goes a long way. Then sprinkle sea salt (until desired). Add a dash of the ground cinnamon, then top with the raw sesame seeds (optional), or try it without the sesame seeds!

VROOOOOOOOOOM---I'm GONE---ENJOY!!

KL's RAW WALNUT BURRO BANANA PUDDING

Here's a FAST, quick and simple recipe that's raw, healthy, and gooooood---WoOoOoOO!!

I call it "pudding"---that's what came to mind when I started creating it... it began as freestyle recipe, working with what I had in the kitchen; plus, the texture and taste is quite similar to what most folks know as "banana pudding"!

PREP TIME: 5 MIN
COOK TIME: 0 MIN
SERVES: 1-2

INGREDIENTS:

1 CUP RAW WALNUT HALVES
1 CUP NATURAL SPRING WATER
1 BURRO BANANA, PEELED & CHOPPED
1 TABLESPOON ORGANIC RAW BLUE AGAVE NECTAR* (MORE OR LESS TO TASTE)
1 TEASPOON GROUND CINNAMON* (MORE OR LESS TO TASTE)
1 DASH SEA SALT** (OPTIONAL)
1/4 CUP FRESH BLUEBERRIES** (OPTIONAL)

PREP:

Add 1 c. Spring Water then the rest of the ingredients to blender and blend on high until thick and smooth. Pour in a dish, top with blueberries (vanilla wafers, or your favorite fruit) and... BOOM!! ALL DONE!!

I did not measure ingredients in this particular recipe but did a good job of "eyeballing" the measurements of ingredients that I used, so "tweek" this recipe as needed for your liking & tastes.

Please, feel free to post comments and suggestions!

Try chilled too!

KL's RED HOT FROZEN SMOOTHIE

HEYYYYYYY---I'm BACK!

I've been moving so FAST the past two weeks between St. Louis to Orange County to Los Angeles that I had to take the time out to post a new recipe today!

If you're a fan of RED HOTS candy, you're gonna love this!!!

This was recipe creation was totally NOT BY DESIGN either as I added cayenne pepper when I thought I was using cinnamon... oh well, GOD doesn't makes any mistakes---it tastes AMAZING and it's a "mucus buster" for those of you suffer this time of year from allergy/sinus problems, chest congestion, headaches, breathing, etc!!

Nearly 60 days I have been on a totally raw foods nutrition program... two (2) detox programs that I were on called for 20 days of fresh fruits and vegetables each, along with natural herbs; so after the program was successfully completed (40 days later), it's now easy to stay in the groove... and plus, I'm not spending a lot of time cooking foods in the kitchen!

PREP TIME: 45-60 MIN*
COOK TIME: 0 MIN

TOOLS:
BLENDER
STRAINER
KNIFE

INGREDIENTS:

CACTUS PEAR - ONE (1) PEELED
SPRING WATER - 1 CUP = 8 oz.
CAYENNE PEPPER - 1 TEASPOON*
GROUND CINNAMON - 1 TEASPOON*
BANANA - ONE (1) PEELED & CHOPPED
RED DELICIOUS APPLE - ONE (1) CHOPPED & PITTED
ORGANIC RAW BLUE AGAVE NECTAR - 3 TABLESPOON*

PREP:

Add 1 cup of Spring Water to your blender. Remove skin from cactus pear and cut into chunks and add to blender. Blend on low for 10-20 seconds until "juiced" . Strain juice to remove the seeds from the cactus fruit and return juice to blender.

Add 2 tablespoons raw blue agave, peeled and chopped banana, chopped apple, and seasonings ( cayenne & cinnamon) then blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth!

Remove the container off of the powered portion of the blender and place in freezer, with the lid on for 45 minutes or until the juice thickens [almost gel-like] then blend on high until smooth... this doesn't hurt or harm your container, plus, it saves time and dishes!

Add 3rd tablespoon of organic raw blue agave while you blend/pulse on high until smooth.

BOOM---Wallah... MAGIC!!

*Depending on how you prefer your smoothies, the prep time may vary. I don't usually measure ingredients but I have listed measred amounts for those of you who do. This recipe (minus the measured amounts of agave, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper) is exactly how I prepared my beverage today, so feel free to "tweek" as desired and send feedback!
