KL's ORANGE BERRY PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

Here is a FAST post-workout smoothie that's great for the boosting the immune system and building lean, healthy muscle mass!
By the way, it does taste good too!

Serves: 2

Ingredients:
Fresh Orange Juice, 2 cups
Fresh Blueberry, 1 cup
Fresh Blackberry, 1/2 cup
Sweet Mint, 10 leaves
Spirulina Powder, 1 teaspoon
Spring Water Ice Cubes, 4

Add the following ingredients to your blender and blend on high until smooth!

KL's HUMP DAY MUNCHIES SNACK

Make a healthy snack like this one when you have the munchies and you won't feel so guilty afterwards, haha!

Toasted organic spelt bread (French Meadows) with 100% Almond Butter spread over it, 1 organic banana sliced and halved, a dash of sea salt, and a few shakes of ground cinnamon on top is all that is needed to satisfy your taste buds :)

KL's BLOOD DIAMONDS SMOOTHIE

Here is a simple smoothie recipe that is good for the body from the skin all the way down to the bone!

I made this smoothie fresh this evening after I watered and picked some Siberian Kale and Sweet Mint straight from my backyard garden.

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 0 min

Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

Organic Sweet Mint (6 fresh mint leaves)
Orange Juice (1 cup, not from concentrate)
Spring Water Ice Cubes (1 cup)
Fresh Blueberries (1 cup)

Prep:
Add all ingredients to your blender and pulse on highest speed for 60-90 seconds until smooth!

KL's CONCRETE GORILLA SMOOTHIE

Here's a FAST and simple smoothie recipe that's loaded with nutrition!

And if you're wondering about protein.., that's in here too :)

The following ingredients are what I used to make this smoothie using my Oster blender.

Ingredients:

1 cup fresh OJ (not from concentrate)
1 banana (organic)
1 teaspoon spirulina powder (organic)
4 spring water ice cubes
8 fresh strawberries (leaves included)

Prep:

Add ice and fruit to blender and pulse on high until ice is crushed.
Blend on highest setting.
While blending on high, add the spirulina powder and continue to blend until mixed well (about 30-45 seconds).
All done :)

KL's SIMPLE ORANGE BERRY SMOOTHIE

Here's a FAST and simple smoothie recipe that tastes delicious and makes for a cool beverage on a warm June day!

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

Fresh Orange Juice (1 cup)
Blueberry (2/3 cup, fresh frozen)
Strawberry (8 whole, fresh)
Spring Water Ice Cubes (3)

Prep:

Add to blender and blend on high until smooth.

KL's FRESH HAMI MAMI SMOOTHIE

Naturally sweet and simple to make, this smoothie is seasonal because of the Hami Gold Melon!

Ingredients:

Fresh Hami Melon
Fresh Orange Juice
Fresh Cucumber (skin removed)
Fresh Kale
Raw Blue Agave Nectar
Spring Water Ice Cubes

KL's TROPICAL SWEET MINT SMOOTHIE

Get a taste of tropicana with this fast, easy, healthy (yet simple) smoothie recipe that is great to sip on during the warm summer months!

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

1 mango
1 banana
1 cup fresh OJ (not from concentrate)
10 fresh-picked sweet mint leaves
4 spring water ice cubes

Prep:

Peel and remove pit from mango.
Peel and remove skin from banana.
Add ice cubes to blender first then add the remaining ingredients.
Blend on highest setting until all ingredients are mixed well & smooth (usually 60-90 seconds).

KL's SPICY JALAPENO MUSHROOM BURGER

No bread need for this delicious mushroom burger... Just a hunger for good good food and a little experience in the kitchen!

Prep: 3 min

Cook: 8 min

Serves: 1

Prep:

Preheat small pan on medium low heat.
Rinse and clean all veggies.
Season mushroom with olive oil, herbs and spices on both sides and place in pan with sliced onions and jalapenos.
Cover with lid to cook the mushroom & veggies evenly for 8 minutes.
Mushroom should be juicy & tender, not dry.
Red Lettuce leaves (2, halfed) are the substitute for bread in this recipe.
Remove veggies from pan.
Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Red Leaf Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Jalapeno
Bella Mushroom
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Cayenne Pepper
Black Pepper

Using organic ingredients from Whole Foods Market and from my backyard garden, this smoothie so good!
